Taxi Menedzsment

As a passenger, you take a taxi when you are tired of queuing and waiting in public transport, or when you are in a hurry. But what if you spend even more time looking for a taxi? Even if you book a taxi in advance, there is still a chance that the driver will go to the wrong place to pick you up. As a taxi driver, you want to be informed of the latest taxi requests so that you can pick up your customers at the right pick-up point and get them safely to their destination. As a taxi fleet operator, you need the help of new technologies to stay competitive in the face of rising fuel and operating costs.

Shenzhen Chainway Information Technology Co., Ltd (Chainway) provides the tools you need. The V600 telematics vehicle computer is based on Android and uses a fingerprint reader, HF RFID reader, OBD module, GPS, external camera and surveillance sensor to collect driving data and wirelessly transmit it to a backend server for real-time monitoring and further analysis. Whether you’re a passenger, taxi driver or fleet manager, the V600 brings convenience and benefits to your everyday life.

Driver identity authentication
The Chainway V600 vehicle-mounted computer can verify the driver’s identity by scanning a fingerprint or IC card, or recognize his face using the front camera and a facial recognition application. It can also perform the function of denying access to start the vehicle to a driver who does not comply with the identity verification. Fleet administrators can see each driver’s work schedule and workload, a direct indicator of each employee’s performance. The V600 secures and backs up the data to a back-up server.

GPS tracking
The V600 vehicle-mounted computer provides accurate vehicle location data to the backend server. The most up-to-date drive requests are then sent to the most appropriate vehicle based on vehicle availability and position. When a driver receives a dispatch, the V600 guides the driver to the exact pick-up point. After picking up the passenger on time, the V600 shows the driver the fastest route to the final destination. The route, the kilometres travelled and the fare can be shown to the passenger so that the driver does not have to make a long journey.

OBD monitoring
The V600 vehicle-mounted computer has an OBD port for connection to the taxi’s OBD system. The technology records if drivers drive continuously without stopping, accelerate or brake too hard, or leave the engine idling for too long. The OBD data also detects vehicle status, including fuel consumption and revs. The V600 sends alerts to both the driver and the back-end server about dangerous driving behaviour and vehicle malfunctions.

Camera footage
The V600’s expansion capabilities allow it to connect to multiple cameras. These cameras can be used to monitor the situation inside the cab. Together with the OBD data, they are a useful tool to ensure
optimal customer satisfaction in the long term. In some cases, these videos of what actually happened in the cab can serve as evidence.

SOS emergency
When incidents occur, the driver or passengers can press the emergency button to send an SOS message to the back end server. Administrators monitor the in-cab video and the vehicle’s position to take the fastest action.

Value added services
The V600 provides a variety of services for passengers, including driver ratings and connection to Wi-Fi hotspots, while allowing fleet administrators to generate more revenue by displaying region-based ads.

The Chainway Telematics V600 vehicle-mounted computer optimizes fleet deployment, responds instantly to individual requests, ensures minimal delays and even reduces downtime. This enhances the service level of the taxi fleet and in return benefits passengers, drivers and fleet managers.
